Patty Carney, PhD

Patricia A. Carney, PhD is currently Professor of Family Medicine, and Associate Director for Population Studies at the OHSU Cancer Institute. Dr. Carney received her PhD from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 1994.

Her doctoral training includes two specialty areas: Health Services Research (Public Health and Community Medicine) and Educational Psychology. Several studies have been funded by the National Cancer Institute or the Agency for Research in Healthcare Quality.

Dr. Carney is also involved in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery and Obstetrics & Gynecology. She has led or contributed to over 85 publications in both these areas of research.
