Benjamin Crabtree, PhD, is a Co-Principal Investigator
working with Dr. Jaén to accomplish the objectives of the projects.
Dr. Crabtree is an expert in the study of practice organization and change
and has developed multi-method approaches that integrate qualitative and
quantitative methods. This multi-method approach has been implemented
in several large federally funded studies with the aim of observing and
enhancing the organization of primary care practices and improving the
patient services provided within this setting.
Dr. Crabtree will coordinate training of the NDP facilitators
and the qualitative analysis of data collected by NDP facilitators. Dr.
Crabtree will participate in the review of qualitative and quantitative
data and will help formulate the feedback provided to NDP projects. Dr.
Crabtree will travel with members of the NDP evaluation team to TransforMED
sponsored meetings and co-investigators meeting.
Dr. Crabtree's expertise in the synthesis and analysis
of multi-method data, his understanding of practice organization, and
his experience with collaborative writing teams and manuscript preparation
will be critical as the NDP evaluation team begins to synthesize, analyze
and disseminate findings from the NDP.
