Chief Operating Officer

Donna Payne is a national health care leader recognized for her ability to build sustainable trusted partnerships to achieve business results. A highly effective communicator, Donna has devoted much of her career to developing and implementing shared visions among senior executives and physicians. Her expertise includes strategic planning, new business development and leading health care teams.

As Chief Operating Officer for TransforMED, Donna is responsible for ensuring the organization is positioned for continued growth and success; working with the team to improve processes to support growth and identifying strategic opportunities for business development and partnerships.

Prior to joining TransforMED, Donna was senior vice president for Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), a business alliance of 44 leading children's hospitals where she led the development of programs and services in managed care, informatics, performance improvement, quality and patient safety. She successfully led executives and physicians in a five year national collaborative to improve patient safety and quality outcomes across children's hospitals.

Donna holds a bachelors of science in nursing from Avila College and a master degree in nursing from the University of Kansas with post-graduate work in business and health services administration. She recently received her coaching certification from The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara. She is a Fellow in the American College of Health Care Executives, a member of Women Business Leaders of the Health Care Industry Foundation and Women’s Capital Connection.
