A Special Promotion from Midmark and TransforMED
TransforMED and Midmark have partnered together and are working to provide practices with a financial assessment or a patient experience assessment.
For each Midmark or Ritter Barrier-Free examination table purchased between October 1 – November 30, 2009, with delivery taken by December 18, 2009, the practice may choose ONE of the following packages below from TransforMED.
Package 1 - Practice Financial Assessment
TransforMED will provide the practice a detailed assessment of revenue cycle management functions to identify deficiencies and opportunities for operational and functional improvement. The review will include an evaluation of the functional organizational structure, technology usage and practice performance levels. The goal of the assessment is to uncover areas within the revenue cycle that can be improved which will lead to an optimized revenue cycle. The TransforMED approach includes the following analysis:
- Review the current Accounts Receivables Management Process
- Analyze key revenue cycle performance metrics including
- CPT code utilization
- Payer aging analysis
- Denial analysis
- Service to Collection Analysis
- Cash Collections as a percentage of net revenue
- Evaluate management reporting programs and utilization
Deliverables include short and long term recommendations for improving operational and organizational efficiencies and effectiveness in the revenue cycle management process. In addition, a quantifiable result of those opportunities for revenue enhancement should those recommendations be implemented. A one hour consultation with a TransforMED practice enhancement facilitator enables the practice leadership to review the results and ensure that recommendations are clear and concise.
Package 2 - The Patient Experience Assessment Tool (PEAT)
PEAT is a short, easily administered questionnaire that provides practices with information and insight on their patients' view of the services they provide. Practices can use survey results to design and track quality improvement over time, as well as compare themselves to other similar practices. Patient experience is a central theme in helping a practice transform into a patient-centered high-performing practice. This tool, which can be administered to patients either online or through a paper questionnaire, assesses how well a practice is meeting the needs of their patients. Issues such as physician/team communication, access, engagement, education and whole person care are scored and reported to a practice's leadership in order to assess how well the practice is meeting the needs of its patients. Included is a one hour consultation with a TransforMED Practice Enhancement Facilitator and your practices leadership, in order to review the results and offer suggestions on how to address the most challenging areas of the patient assessment.
